As a qualified celebrant, I know that the value and choice a celebrant can bring to your ceremony is second to none. My aim is simple – to craft your ceremony into an enchanting experience overflowing with joy, laughter, and moments that will stay etched in your hearts forever. Your love story is one-of-a-kind and my commitment is to ensure you have a tailor-made experience that mirrors your personalities, values, and the extraordinary essence of your connection.
Whether it’s a Wedding, Blessing, Civil Partnership, Vow Renewal, Commitment, Naming, Welcoming, Transition or other non-statutory ceremony it will be highly personalised and inclusive. With an independent Celebrant, the possibilities are endless. There are no restrictions so you can hold it anywhere and at any time of day.
Wedding ceremonies can include traditional elements (vows, exchange of rings, music, readings), symbolic elements, such as handfasting (also known as hand-tying or tying the knot), maybe a rose or sand ceremony, but if you like, it can also include something more unusual. By incorporating innovative ideas and/or surprise elements you can create a ceremony that binds you together in a very meaningful way and will be remembered forever. First, did you know that, in England, only the declaratory and contracting words must be spoken in a registration office or licensed venue for your marriage to be legally recognised? These legal requirements for marriage are very short and simple and cost very little (e.g. approximately £57 with 2 witnesses at a local register office – often known as 2+2). Instead of the registrar coming to you, you can go to them and have the brief legal section of your marriage carried out separately (often a day or so before your ceremony). The possibilities for your Wedding Ceremony then suddenly open up. The venue does not have to be licensed and your ceremony won’t be boring. It can be romantic, traditional, fun or themed, and you can include anything you like. Marriage is the contract, the wedding is the celebration!
As the ceremonies that I conduct are not legally binding, there are no restrictions placed by law and I can be very flexible to create something truly unique to you as a couple. If you are not sure which ceremony is right for you, simply get in touch. You can read more about what a celebrant does here.
